Jitesh Malik, Esq.

JITESH MALIK, Esq. is a graduate of the University of Delhi, New Delhi, India (B.A.); H.N. Bahuguna Garhwal University, Uttranchal, India (LL.B.); and the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School (LL.M.) where he also served as the Executive-Editor for the Buffalo Criminal Law Journal.

As the Founding/Managing Partner of New York (Manhattan) office of Malik & Popiel, P.C. (jmalik@globallawsolutions.com) Mr. Malik focuses his practice on business immigration matters and provides strategic immigration planning to address the needs of the U.S. employers in obtaining temporary nonimmigrant visas for business professionals (including managers, executives, physicians, nurses, dental and computer professionals). Mr. Malik also assists both corporations and individuals in the preparation and submission of employment-based permanent residency matters which include, among others, the EB-1 Outstanding Professor/Researcher Petitions, the

EB- 2 National Interest Waiver Petitions, PERM Labor Certification Applications, as well as the EB-5 Investor Petitions. In addition, Mr. Malik also counsels individuals in highly complex immigration matters, which include Motion to Reopen & Reconsider and Nunc-Pro-Tunc requests to the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services. Mr. Malik also prepares petitions to the Administrative Appeals Office, and the Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals.

Among others, Mr. Malik formerly served as Senior Counsel with the law firm of Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, (Manhattan, New York) as well as Immigration Counsel with the Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna, P.C. (Arlington, Virginia) where he focused on business immigration matters, and various types of federal litigation.

Mr. Malik has written and published various works, which include, among others: The Immigration Time Machine. H-1Bs’ Regaining Time Spent Outside the United States, Vol. 17, No. 3 Geo. Immigr. L. Mr. Malik is a member of the New York State Bar Association; American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) (New York City Chapter); South Asian Bar Association (Wash. D.C. & New York City); Delhi High Court Bar Association (New Delhi, India); and Delhi Bar Association (New Delhi, India).

MARK P. POPIEL, Esq. is a graduate of Brock University (B.A.) and the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Law (Juris Doctor), International Law concentration.

As the Founding/Managing Partner of the Buffalo, New York office of Malik & Popiel, P.C. (mpopiel@globallawsolutions.com) Mr. Popiel represents small to multi-million dollar corporations, professionals, as well as health and academic institutions in various permanent and temporary resident matters where he advises his clientele on the proper choice of visas and employment-based immigration categories, governmental procedures, content and format of applications and petitions, as well as a host of other immigrant and nonimmigrant related matters.

Given his specialization, Mr. Popiel has extensive experience in:

In addition to his practice with Malik & Popiel, P.C., Mr. Popiel currently serves as the Director of the Immigration Law Clinic at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School where he teaches the Immigration Law Clinic to upper level law students. Among others, Mr. Popiel also serves as an Adjunct Faculty with Hilbert College teaching Immigration Law to undergraduate students.

Mr. Popiel is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in New York, before the U.S. Court of International Trade, and as a Foreign Legal Consultant (practicing U.S. law) in Ontario, Canada.
